The initiative will provide funding and specialized training to students interested in developing innovative solutions. Applications will be open until January 23, 2026.
The Center for Astrophysics and Associated Technologies (CATA), through its Technology Transfer Unit, officially opened the call for applications for “CATA Emprende 2026,” a program designed to strengthen innovation skills through entrepreneurship tools, specialized training, mentoring, and the creation of support networks. Its purpose is to promote the development of impactful ventures that respond to specific challenges in their environment.
“CATA Emprende” is aimed at the entire student community in the country, with a special focus on undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, both from institutions associated with CATA and from outside institutions. To apply, applicants will be required to provide documentation proving that they are currently enrolled students or in the process of obtaining a degree at the time of admission.
Those selected will have access to funding of up to $500.000 for the initial development of their idea, as well as a training program based on entrepreneurship methodologies.
