Applications for this program will be open until Friday, January 23, 2026.
Through its Technology Transfer Unit, the Center for Astrophysics and Associated Technologies (CATA) launched CATA Emprende 2026. This program aims to strengthen innovation skills through entrepreneurship tools, promoted through training, mentoring, and networking, with the goal of developing impactful ventures that offer solutions to specific problems in their environment.
The CATA Emprende program is aimed at the entire student community, with a specific focus on undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students from different universities and institutions, whether or not they are associated with the Corporation. For this purpose, during the admission period, applicants will be asked to provide a document certifying their enrollment or degree status at the time of application.
Interested parties must complete an online form and may receive up to $500,000 pesos to develop their idea, along with a training program in entrepreneurship methodology.
The call for applications will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on January 23, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact Fernanda Mesa, Head of Technology Transfer at CATA, at fmesa@cata.cl.
