The night of Padre Hurtado will be filled with astronomy

Talks for the general public, astronomical observation nights, and much more is what will be experienced at Camping Don Germán this Saturday, November 5th.

“It will be a fascinating Star Party. Those who come will learn astronomy, and will be able to see planets, stars, nebulae and much more with the equipment that we will have available”, explains Catalina Urrejola, PhD candidate in Astronomy at the University of La Serena and disseminator of the Center for Astrophysics and Related Technologies (CATA).

The meeting, where there will also be astrophotography sessions, is organized by the Padre Hurtado astronomical group. “The main objective will be to learn astronomy both theoretically and practically and to learn more about the secrets of the Universe in a sector near the capital, a privileged place to observe the sky,” explains the young scientist, who will also be in charge of the inaugural talk called “Galaxy Fusion: Cosmic and wild dance.”

During the rest of the day, participants will be able to make observations, learn about astrophotography, enjoy a 3D cinema to learn about the Universe, learn more about meteorites, as well as enjoy the works of astronomical artists SativaMarte and ArtBeamin, along with the cosmo-themed “Wanglen Store.”

The invitation is from 20:00 hours. Registration and prices via whatsapp +56921881436, instagram @astronomia_padre_hurtado or email astronomiapho@gmail.com
